Dalal Bazar Zamindar Bari is one of the oldest zamindar houses in Laxmipur. There is no end to the curiosity of the people around this ancient zamindar house located in Laxmipur mouza on the south-west side adjacent to Dalal Bazar. Established on five acres of land, Raj Gate, Zamindar Prasad, Andar Mahal, Andar Pukur, Shaan Bandhano Ghat all attract the attention of pedestrians. It is known that a man named Laxminarayan came to the broker market to trade in cloth. His son Brajballav expanded the business due to his skills. Brajballav's son Gaurkishore came to Calcutta to study with the East India Company and bought zamindari. Gaurkishore received the title of king in 175 AD. Gaurkishore Roy and Rani Lakshmi Priya were childless. They adopted Govindakishore from Bikrampur in Dhaka as their adopted son.Nalini Kishore Roy Chowdhury, son of Govinda Kishore, showed skill in collecting, supervising and spreading the rent of their zamindari. Contribution of the family to Dalal Bazar NK High School, Charitable Hospital, Thakur Mandir. People still come from far and wide to see the walls of the land houses, the inner courtyards, the construction materials, especially the iron beams weighing a few tons, the huge iron chests, the dance halls, the outdoor courtyards.
