Other information
Administration: Lakshmipur thana was established in 1860. Thana was turned into an upazila on 24 March 1984. Laxmipur Municipality was formed in 1976.
Water bodies: Meghna, Valua and Coralya rivers and Deopara, Mahendra, Mithania, Muchar canal are notable.
Archaeological heritage and relics: Tita Khan Jami Mosque, Mita Khan Mosque, Majupur Matka Mosque, Madhuban Mosque, Daem Shah Mosque, Abdullahpur Jame Mosque, Nil Kuthibari, Dalal Bazar, Landlord House, Khoyasagar Dighi.
Historical events: Kazi Nazrul Islam was given a reception in 1927 by the initiative of Lakshmipur Town Club.
