Sujla Sufla field and Meghna are formed with the idea of ​​the silver hilsa that Lakhmipur Sadar Upazila is the people. Its area is 514.78 sq km and the population is 6,84,425 (census 2011). Meghna river is one of the main sources of livelihood for the people of this area. In addition to the vast presence of fishermen, many enlightened people of agricultural work, business and other profession have made this upazila rich. Active participation in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila like all over the country is aimed at creating illiteracy, prejudice and poverty free country.
